Fixy is free to use, free to post jobs and free to receive quotes. A transaction and service fee of 3% respectively is charged only when a job is awarded and payment is processed. (Just like ordering food!) We make sure that we hold the balance of your payment safely in escrow and only release it to the service contractor once you mark that you are satisfied with the work.

Payments are securely processed and released once the job is marked complete — or by milestones for larger projects. Funds will be remitted to service contractors within 5 business days via direct bank deposit or cheque.
Fixy advises that you do your best to work with the client and make it right to protect your reputation. Similar to booking directly, we encourage you to speak to the service provider to find a resolution in order to release payment.
If a client asks you to pay cash or communicate outside of the app, it’s best to decline. By doing so, you miss out on secure payment protections that ensure your work is compensated as soon as it is completed to the scope of the job requirements. is released only when work meets agreed-upon milestones. Additionally, the client won’t be able to leave ratings or reviews, which could result in a lack of transparency about the contractor’s reliability and quality. Always keep communication and payments within the app to ensure a secure and transparent experience.
